Dear University Community,
Since we began our Pitt Worx journey, our goal has been to bring the digital ease and accessibility you experience in your personal lives into your professional lives, and to deliver an efficient human resources and payroll solution for the University of Pittsburgh. We are excited about the benefits of Pitt Worx, but understand that we must provide sufficient time and the right resources for learning and adoption. To best serve you, we must ensure that this complex and critical system - which contains important personal, wage, and benefit data - is thoroughly tested, tightly secured, and works properly from day one. In order for us to do that, the launch of Pitt Worx will now occur in January 2021.
We continue to learn about transitioning to new systems from the launch of Talent Center, our modern, full-cycle hiring system and the first module of Pitt Worx, which began at the end of 2018. We have made changes to education and training around Talent Center. We have observed the need to make better education and training resources available to faculty and staff before the remaining four modules of Pitt Worx are live. Multimedia resources created for Talent Center are now available to the Pitt community, and will be available for the remaining four modules. It’s important that we meet you where you learn best, and that our resources help make your adoption of Pitt Worx simple and straightforward.
In the meantime, we’re working hard behind the scenes and will have more details on the launch as we approach the end of 2019. Until then, keep an eye out for updates on select University groups that are transitioning to a new system for time entry. Our solution to the paper employee record is also in progress, and our Pitt Worx Champions program is continuing to develop. Almost 100 University community members are signed up to be a Champion, but we’re always looking to get more people involved. This is a great opportunity to experience Pitt Worx before it goes live, help communicate and educate others, and network with colleagues! As we continue to work toward the January 2021 launch, we will send out updates on our progress with the remaining four Pitt Worx modules. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we are looking forward to sharing the Pitt Worx Human Capital Management suite with you in 2021.
